WASHINGTON — Today, Advancing American Freedom Foundation (AAF) announced former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Daniel Kelly has joined the Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law as a Visiting Judicial Fellow.
AAF Visiting Judicial Fellow Daniel Kelly released the following statement: “Advancing American Freedom’s addition of the storied Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law means the conservative legal movement has a dynamic and principled new home. My admiration for Attorney General Meese and the Institute’s scholars makes it a true honor to add my voice to theirs as a Visiting Judicial Fellow. I’m looking forward to advocating the foundational principles of our Constitution and the American experiment that have served us so well for so long.”
Vice President of the Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law, John Malcolm stated: “I am delighted that Dan Kelly has joined the Meese Institute as a Visiting Judicial Fellow. Dan has had a distinguished career as a former Justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, in private practice, and as a constitutional scholar. Daniel Kelly is an American attorney and former judge from Wisconsin. He served four years as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, from August 1, 2016, through July 31, 2020. He graduated from Regent University School of Law, where he was founding editor-in-chief of the law review, in 1991. Kelly is married to Elisa Kelly. They have five children and reside in Wisconsin.
