WASHINGTON, D.C. — Advancing American Freedom Foundation (AAFF) announced the launch of its Long View Leadership Initiative (LVLI), bringing together more than 150 emerging leaders from across the United States for a year of intellectual formation, leadership development, and civic engagement grounded in Conservative principles. LVLI includes the Long View Fellows Program, focused on early and mid-career professionals, and the Campus to Capitol Fellowship, focused on establishing college reading groups.
“Our vision at AAF is to develop a deep bench of talented young people who can reanimate conservatism in America,” said Tim Chapman, President of AAFF. “Over the coming years, AAF graduates will form the basis of a principled conservative movement committed to strengthening America and ensuring our nation prospers.”
The initiative’s fall programming includes two Long View Fellows Program cohorts. One in-person based in Washington, D.C., and a virtual national cohort including 32 early- and mid-career leaders.
“The quality of participants is remarkable,” said Paul Glader, AAFF’s Director of Leadership Programs. “It’s heartening to see such talented people willing to read deeply together, engage conservative ideas, and consider how they can contribute to their communities and in public life.”
Through seminars, mentorship, classic texts, and conversations with contemporary leaders, the Long View Fellows Program encourages rising leaders to develop the intellectual depth, moral imagination, and practical wisdom needed for public leadership.
AAF’s Campus to Capitol Fellowship is a nationwide reading program connecting more than 100 college students and faculty members around serious ideas, civil discourse, and enduring questions about the American political tradition. This fall, participants will read Russell Kirk’s book, “The Roots of American Order.”
The program’s pilot-year participants include students and faculty from Baylor University, Biola University, Colorado Christian University, Duke University, Grand Canyon University, Grove City College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Patrick Henry College, University of Richmond, and Washington College.
The national cohort includes participants from Stanford University, Stanford Law School, Dartmouth College, Bard College, Washington and Lee University, the University of Illinois College of Law, and the University of Amsterdam.
Other leadership programs at AAFF include the AAF Internship Program, which provides paid internships in Washington DC every fall, spring, and summer to between 8 and 15 students. AAF also operates a 10-month Congressional Fellowship for 20 staff members serving in the U.S. House or Senate who are committed to public service and conservative principles. AAF’s Edwin Meese III Institute for the Rule of Law offers a 3-day Judicial Clerkship Academy every spring for more than 50 incoming law clerks for federal appellate and district court judges and state Supreme Court justices.
