Opportunity Initiative to Champion Main Street

WASHINGTON — Today, Advancing American Freedom (AAF) announced the launch of the Small Business Opportunity Initiative, led by AAF President Tim Chapman. The Small Business Opportunity Initiative is focused on being the voice of Main Street in Washington through active engagement with Capitol Hill, agenda proposals, and exclusive polling to inform policymakers in Washington on the top issues facing American small business owners.

AAF releases Inaugural Small Business Opportunity Initiative polling that finds:

• 60% of small business owners support the extension of the 2017 Trump-Pence Tax Cuts

through the One Big Beautiful Bill. • 53% of small business owners say that tariffs are having a “very” or “somewhat” negative

effect on their business. • 88% of small business owners are optimistic. 39% say things are going “very well” and 49%

say things are going “somewhat well” for their business right now.

Advancing American Freedom President Tim Chapman stated: “American small business owners are overwhelmingly optimistic about the future of their businesses and our country thanks to the extension of the 2017 Tax Cuts in the One Big Beautiful Bill. But warning signs are flashing under the surface as the impacts of tariffs and overregulation continue to hamstring small businesses from reaching their full potential. AAF stands ready to support small businesses and advocate for them in Washington.” As part of the Small Business Opportunity Initiative, AAF will actively conduct regular polling on the impact of regulations on small businesses, release a robust policy agenda to empower mom- and-pop shops across America, and engage with federal and state policymakers and staff on issues that affect Main Street businesses.
