April 10, 2025 Dear Members of Congress, The American people deserve secure elections. However, due to open border policies of the Biden Administration, the American people no longer trust that illegal aliens are not voting in federal elections. We applaud the Trump Administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens, but Congress must still take steps to secure federal elections. Every illegal vote disenfranchises an American citizen’s legal vote. With conservative majorities and President Trump in the White House, Congress has the opportunity to secure American elections by finally passing the SAVE Act (H.R. 22 / S. 128) into law.
The SAVE Act passed the House last year on a bipartisan basis, but Senator Schumer refused to bring the bill up for a vote in the Senate. The SAVE Act is basic, common sense. It requires that States obtain proof of citizenship before registering a voter in a federal election and that States remove non-citizens from existing voter rolls. There’s simply no good reason to oppose the SAVE Act. Last Congress every Republican present and five Democrats voted to pass the legislation. Again, we strongly encourage you to support the SAVE Act in its upcoming vote. Thanks for your consideration. Paul Teller Lisa B.
