February 7, 2025 The Honorable Pam Bondi Attorney General of the United States U.S. Department of Justice 950 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W. Washington, DC 20530 Dear General Bondi: Congratulations on your successful confirmation to serve as the 87th United States Attorney General. We look forward to working with you to reverse the Biden Administration’s weaponization of government against pro-life Americans and to advance the pro-life cause.
Earlier this year, President Trump pardoned 23 FACE Act prisoners who were unjustly imprisoned for simply standing up for life.1 Soon after, the Department of Justice issued a memo restricting the use of the FACE Act outside of “extraordinary circumstances.”2 President Trump said it best, “They should not have been prosecuted.” We are grateful for President Trump’s decisive leadership on reversing the Biden Administration’s actions against peacefully protesting pro-life Americans. In a recent interview with Kayleigh McEnany, a FACE Act prisoner alleged he suffered mistreatment while serving an unjust 27-month sentence.
William Goodman alleges that he was kept in a condemned unit and suffered from neglect, going two weeks without toilet paper.3 Meanwhile, Mr. Goodman states that other prisoners, allegedly suffering from gender dysphoria, were provided with dresses, mascara, lipstick, and perfume upon request. While Mr. Goodman’s allegations are shocking, they are not surprising given the Biden Administration's gross mistreatment of pro-life Americans. We request that you conduct a full investigation into these, and other allegations of mistreatment made by FACE Act prisoners.
