AAF Calls for Conservative Spending Measures in Congress

The American people didn’t send conservatives to Washington to back down from a fight. The upcoming appropriations fight is the next opportunity for this Congress to deliver more big, beautiful wins for the American people.

The American people sent a clear message last election. They are tired of business as usual in Washington. They are sick of out-of-control federal spending that mortgages our country’s future to pay yesterday's bills and funds the very programs that undermine the American way.

With the upcoming appropriations fight, it is of the utmost importance that conservatives do not settle for the Biden spending levels. Conservatives in Congress and across the nation have long fought to return to pre-COVID spending levels and lower. We must not retreat from this noble goal, now that Conservatives have a majority in both houses. Merely keeping the government open is not sufficient. Shrinking the size and scope of government while advancing conservative policies into law is a win.

Conservatives must also finish the fight on big wins left behind on the battlefield in the One Big Beautiful Bill, including but not limited to ending federal funding for dangerous transgender surgeries and eliminating incentives for states to cover illegal aliens on Medicaid.

The Swamp will always claim the best time to fight is next time. But we all know the truth: the time to fight is now. Not one more dollar for programs undermining the American way of life!
