U.S. Must Lead Free World in Countering New Axis
TOPLINE: The “New Axis” of China, Iran, and Russia threatens the United States, our allies, and freedom across the world. The U.S. must return to the Reagan Doctrine of “Peace Through Strength” to counter these authoritarian threats.
Reinvest in National Strength, Encouraging Allies to Do the Same: • “The best thing you can do is deal from strength” — Donald J. Trump, Art of the Deal • “Defense spending has cratered to post-World War II lows — and is less than half the Cold War levels... Sen. Roger Wicker [has] made a compelling case for increasing defense spending to 5% of GDP” — VP Mike Pence, “Making The Military Great Again” (WashEx) • President Trump secured a 5% GDP defense-spending commitment from NATO allies.

Stop the CCP's Advances Domestically and Abroad: • The CCP’s continued ownership of TikTok threatens the privacy of American citizens and our national security while violating the law.
o President Trump has refused to comply with his constitutional duty to enforce the
“Divest or Ban” law, as passed by Congress; a TikTok deal still permitting CCP ownership of the algorithm is illegal and does not fix the national security threat. • Indiscriminate tariffs aid our adversaries.
o Tariffs punish small business while pushing our allies into the arms of the CCP. • The United States must continue to stand unapologetically with Taiwan.
o Dig Deeper: “Taiwan must not fall.” by V.P. Pence and Ed Feulner (Washington Post)
Putin Only Understands Strength: • Congress can and should put a crippling sanctions Bill on Trump’s desk to provide leverage at the negotiating table. Reinstate “Maximum Pressure” on Iran: • President Trump deserves significant praise for knocking out Iran’s nuclear program. • Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, supporting Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Iran’s assurances of a “peaceful” nuclear program can not be trusted.

BOTTOMLINE: The threat of the “New Axis” will not go away without American leadership on the world stage. Our foreign policy must take seriously authoritarian adversaries, protect our technological advantages, and prioritize national security at large.
