AAF: How to Talk About the One Big Beautiful Bill
TOPLINE: The One Big Beautiful Bill is a huge win for the American people. But, Left Wing operatives are already working to distort and malign every part of the OBBB. Every Democrat voted against: • Tax relief for working families, which would have resulted in a tax increase of $4 trillion. • $165 billion to secure the border, including 3,000 new border patrol agents, $10,000 bonuses for ICE and Border Patrol agents, and $46.5 billion for the wall. • $150 billion to rebuild our military including shipbuilding, nuclear arsenal, and the Golden Dome. Cutting Taxes for American Workers and American Families: • The average American household will see a $2,100 tax cut next year. • By permanently doubling the standard deduction, there are no taxes on the first $15,000 earned by a single taxpayer or $30,000 for a married couple in 2025. • Permanently extending lower individual rates will cut taxes for Americans by $2.2 trillion over the next 10 years. Cutting Taxes for American Businesses Large and Small: • Small businesses will receive a permanent 20% tax deduction. • The small business deduction cuts taxes by $736 billion over 10 years. • Provides full and immediate deductions for American business investment including research and development. • Immediate & permanent business expensing will provide a $504 billion tax cut on investments in the U.S. Slashing Spending: • OBBB reduces federal spending by $1.212 trillion over 10 years and cuts spending by $170 billion in 2025 alone. • Spending cuts over 10 years result in deficit reduction totaling $3,570 per American. Common Sense Medicaid Reforms: • Creates a work requirement for able-bodied adults who are not caretakers or parents of children under 15 years old in the Medicaid and SNAP programs. • Reduces payments for Medicaid to states that provide coverage to illegal aliens by a commensurate amount. • Requires regular reviews to ensure that dead or ineligible people are not enrolled. Unleashing American Energy: • Mandates quarterly federal leases for new oil, gas, coal, and geothermal energy production. • Eliminates $115 billion in green energy subsidies, including the electric vehicle tax credit that was passed as a part of the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. • Requires new energy development lease sales in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). Huge Pro-Family Wins: • Defunds Planned Parenthood for 1 year. • Establishes a $1,700 tax credit for school freedom scholarships. • Disincentivizes gambling by letting gamblers only write off 90% of their losses.
