Paul Glader

Director of Leadership Programs

Paul Glader is Director of Leadership Programs at Advancing American Freedom Foundation. He previously spent 10 years as a professor at The King’s College in NYC, where he directed the McCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute and its NYC Semester in Journalism program, which welcomed students from 40+ partner colleges to study at King’s and intern at NYC news outlets. Glader also served eight years as executive director of The Media Project, an international nonprofit that trains journalists on religious literacy and quality religion reporting, and led its award-winning non-profit news outlet, ReligionUnplugged.com. He directed the Dow Jones News Fund business reporting program for seven years, training and placing hundreds of students in paid newsroom internships. He’s been a visiting professor at Columbia Journalism School and Anglo-American University in Prague. He’s collaborated with philanthropic organizations including Stand Together, The Fund for American Studies, Acton Institute, and Knight Foundation.

Glader started his career in journalism at The Indianapolis News opinion pages in the 1990s, writing editorials, columns and editing work by syndicated columnists such as William F. Buckley and Robert Novak. He spent a decade as a staff writer at The Wall Street Journal, covering international news and writing feature stores on several different business beats. He’s written for countless other media outlets including The Associated Press, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel Online, Forbes, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Christianity Today, CNN Business, and Newsweek. 

Paul earned degrees from The University of South Dakota (B.A.), Columbia University (M.S.), and the Berlin School of Creative Leadership at Steinbeis University (EMBA).
