Marc Short is a veteran political strategist and government official with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He served as Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence from 2019 to 2021 and was previously the White House Director of Legislative Affairs under President Donald Trump, where he played a key role in advancing the
administration’s policy agenda on Capitol Hill.
Earlier in his career, Short was President of Freedom Partners, and served as Chief of Staff to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. He also worked as a senior aide in the House of Representatives and was a frequent media commentator on politics and policy.
Short holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
