NEW: AAF Letter Urges Senators to Pass President Trump’s Rescissions Package

Time Is Now to Stop “Woke, Wicked, and Wasteful” Spending

WASHINGTON – Advancing American Freedom President Tim Chapman and Board Chairman Marc Short sent a letter to all Senators today urging them to pass President Trump’s $9.4 billion recissions package as an important step to cut wasteful government spending.

The letter calls on the Senate to stay laser focused on what Republicans promised to deliver to American families, take this small step toward reining in our bloated federal bureaucracy, and make this week’s vote the first in a series of spending cuts going forward.

AAF’s Chapman and Short write:

“American families are sick and tired of their hard-earned taxpayer dollars being wasted by government bureaucrats and funding an agenda at war with their way of life.”

“The Senate must stay laser focused on what conservatives promised to deliver to American families, make this the first in a series of spending cuts going forward, and start tackling our $37 trillion national debt crisis. This package should be the first of a longer series of cuts. Each one can go further, targeting programs that stray from constitutional purpose or national interest.”

“As the United States stares down a $37 trillion national debt, your vote is ultimately the least the Senate can do in terms of reining in our bloated federal bureaucracy.”

“The time is now to stop the woke, wicked, and wasteful spending.”
