On November 22, the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Education announced that they would be once again extending the pause on student loan repayments, possibly until 60 days after June 30. If this were to take place, estimates from the D.C.-based think tank The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget indicate that it would cost upwards of $40 billion.
