Oct 13 Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin sent a letter to Israel demanding an increase in humanitarian aid after a decrease in Israeli aid to its adversaries in Gaza and urging Israel to provide the United Nations Relief and Works Agency with additional information regarding its allegations of UNRWA involvement with Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attacks. The letter also told Israel to ensure that the commercial and Jordan Armed Forces corridors were functioning at full and continuous capacity. Israel was given 30 days to follow through with these actions to avoid U.S. legal implications, such as an arms embargo. Threatening a key ally with an arms embargo in their moment of need is a stunning display of disloyalty to Israel.

Oct 17 On October 17, the Biden-Harris Administration unilaterally approved an additional $4.5 billion in student debt relief for over 60,000 public service workers. To date, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program has brought $175 billion in loan forgiveness.

Oct 21 On October 21, the Biden-Harris Administration extended the student loan payment pause for another 6 months under the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan. The Biden-Harris Administration has burdened hard-working Americans, splurging their tax dollars to relieve the woes of the fiscally irresponsible and anyone else who has not yet had a chance to pay off his or her loans.

Oct 25 The Biden-Harris Office of Refugee Resettlement proposed updating its information collection methods to include asking unaccompanied minors at the border whether they have a non-binary gender identity. This would only further confuse some of the most vulnerable children on the planet, potentially leading them to follow the path of making a life-altering decision with permanent destructive consequences. Introducing such children to the concept, which is likely less common in many of the countries they are fleeing, may actively encourage them to adopt such an identity in hopes that it could give them a “special” advantage to staying in the United States.

Oct 25 The Biden-Harris Department of Justice took legal action against Virginia for carrying out its routine practice of clearing non-citizens from its voter rolls. A common-sense election security measure signed by a Democrat governor almost two decades ago should not be a target of federal action. Blatant bullying exercises like these are unacceptable and threaten the integrity of our elections. Thankfully, the Supreme Court sided with Virginia and allowed the state to move forward.
