WASHINGTON, DC – Advancing American Freedom urges lawmakers to pass the $9.4 billion rescissions package coming to the House floor this week. AAF President Tim Chapman said:
“AAF urges the House GOP to pass President Trump’s rescissions package today. This package gives many Members the first chance of their tenure to cut a dollar of wasteful Washington spending. We hope Members will try to exercise this new muscle and take the lead from here on rebuilding the fiscal discipline of a functioning legislature.
“Conservatives in Congress should see today’s vote for what it is – a small but radical step toward reining in our bloated federal bureaucracy. It’s time to stay laser focused on what Republicans promised to deliver to American families, make this the first in a series of spending cuts going forward, and start tackling our $37 trillion national debt crisis.”
